Juan Maza Calleja is a multimedia journalist with work experience in over 30 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

He has lived in London, Berlin, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Bangladesh, and Togo. Currently, he is based in Seville, Spain. Currently, Juan is a video production coordinator at Mongabay.

Along his professional career, Juan has produced diverse multimedia formats, including reports, documentaries, and social media content for a wide range of organisations such as Deutsche Welle, ARTE, AFP, or El País. In those stories he has functioned in a variety of positions, ranging from producer and director of photography to video editor.

Additionally, he has worked in the humanitarian sector for organisations such as Doctors Without Borders and for institutions such as the European Commission.
