Julia M. Free (°1991) is active in both Belgium and the Netherlands. Her work focuses on exploring underrepresented voices in society.  

She emphasises themes of identity, community and social change. In the past, she participated in several labs, including CineSud Shift Film Festival Netherlands 2022, Torino Film Industry TSFM Italy & Ostend Film Festival Belgium 2023, Cinesud Docroom Netherlands 2023, LEF Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF), Belgium 2023/2024.
