Kaisa Beltran is a freelance journalist and writer based in Finland.

After working for several years at Finnish news organisations, she dedicated her career to long-term projects on migration, human rights and gender.She has written books on human trafficking for sexual exploitation and the abuse of migrant workers in European agriculture. Her current project examines commercial surrogacy arrangements between high-income countries and the Global South.

She studied journalism and audiovisual communication in Finland and Spain and holds a Master's degree in Journalism.
