Kristin Karlsson is a freelance journalist who specialises in investigating environmental issues related to food production and the use of natural resources.

Her work has been published in magazines like Sveriges Natur and ATL and other media.

How we care for the earth, water and air is a common thread in her investigative reporting. Kristin loves to twist perspectives and connect the local with the global. Preferably together with journalists in cross-border investigations.

When she was a freelance journalist in Liverpool years ago, she took photos because she had to, but now she has finally trained in news photography. First at Biskops Arnö and then at the Swedish Journalists Association's six-month course for freelancers at Tollare Folk High School.

She is happy to share her experience as a journalist - since 2021, she has been in charge of the one-year journalism programme at Uppsala University.
