Lana Kokaia has been working as a journalist since 2015, covering human rights, political developments, labour rights, conflicts, ethnic minorities, migration and other pressing issues.

Her investigative work has won several awards, including the European Union's highest award in Georgia.

In December 2023, her exposé on labour rights violations by large supermarket companies received recognition from both the European Union in Georgia and the Georgian Charter of Journalistic Ethics. Throughout her career, Lana has worked with prominent media outlets including IWPR, OC Media, Caucasus Edition: Journal of Conflict Transformation, Chai Khana and RFE/RL's Georgian Service. She focuses on under-reported stories, raising awareness and promoting dialogue on important social issues.
