Marc Engelhardt, based in Geneva, is an experienced German international correspondent who has spent nearly two decades reporting from Africa and Geneva, covering the UN and other global institutions.

His award-winning work focuses on listening deeply to people and investigating the successes and failures of international aid. At CORRECTIV, he now heads up the CrowdNewsroom, a collaborative reporting platform that uses citizen input to uncover systemic injustice.

Marc establishes partnerships across Europe and assists media outlets in utilising the tool to investigate issues such as housing injustice, school safety and urban sustainability.

Marc is also the author of several books and a strong advocate for participatory journalism.
