Marc Herman is a writer based in Barcelona.

He's the author of a book on his travels with gold miners in the Amazon, and shorter works on the evacuation of a Javanese volcano and the Libyan revolution. His reporting has appeared in The Atlantic, BusinessWeek, and GQ. Previously, he was a contributing editor at Pacific Standard magazine, the international correspondent of the Columbia Journalism Review, and an occasional editor at Politico.

He's currently writing a book about immigration.
