Marguerite Meyer is a freelance investigative journalist and writer based in Switzerland.

She has a background in history and political science, as well as extensive experience in media management, multimedia storytelling and event moderations. As a journalist, she works on topics at the intersection of politics, finance, security, and defence – and has investigated the military affiliations of the Swiss drone industry, organised crime, human rights and financial loopholes.

Marguerite has worked in Switzerland, Austria, Lebanon, Greece and Albania.

She is currently a board member of the Swiss social enterprise and street newspaper Surprise, a board member of the media diversity organisation NCHM* and a team member of the FOIA association.

She also is a 2024 European Collaborative Journalism Programme Fellow and a 2024 AlgorithmWatch Algorithmic Accountability Reporting Fellow. Her motto is: People matter.
