Maria Cheresheva is an experienced journalist with over 15 years' experience working for various Bulgarian and international media outlets.
She has collaborated with organisations such as the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN), ZDF, Balkan Insight, ARTE, Deutsche Welle and the BBC. She specialises in cross-border investigations, migration and human rights. She is also one of the founders of, and a member of the board of, the Association of European Journalists – Bulgaria (AEJ).
