Marina Dulneva is a journalist who reports on Russia and Belarus.

She has worked with the Belarusian Investigative Centre (BIC), Forbes, Meduza, The Insider, Esquire and Novaya Gazeta. She has investigated the supply of drones, dual-use goods and Western microelectronics to Russia’s military-industrial complex, as well as the Wagner Group’s activities in Africa and the war in Ukraine. She also covers wider international political and social issues.

In addition to investigative reporting, she produces human-interest stories. These include stories about how Russians evade mobilisation, including through alcoholism, imprisonment and psychiatric institutions; intra-family conflicts over the war in Ukraine; life in occupied cities such as Mariupol; and the experiences of families whose relatives were recruited from prison to fight in the war and died in combat.
