Mathieu is a journalist based in Lyon, France.
Mathieu works on investigative stories for French and European media. He also teaches in journalism schools and holds workshops about media literacy and investigative journalism.
Mathieu Martiniere is an independent journalist based in Lyon. He is member of the European collective of freelance journalists We Report and collaborates with several news websites, print magazines and radio programs such as Mediapart and Radio France Internationale.
Over the last years, he has produced several international reports. With Robert Schmidt, he has been author of a 90 minutes ARTE documentary on Interpol, broadcasted world-wide on channels such as Deutsche Welle and AppleTV as “The Interpol case”. He is one of the co-authors of the investigative book “Church, code of silence” (JC Lattes, 2017) and a book on Interpol (“Interpol: L’Enquête”, HarperCollins France, 2023). Currently, he is working on long-term stories and investigations in France and Europe.
Mathieu Martiniere was selected for the 2018 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘Sex abuse scandal in French Catholic Church’.
