Matthew Ponsford is a London-based journalist and editor.

Matthew has written for The Financial Times, CNN International, MIT Technology Review, BBC, WIRED, National Geographic, The Guardian, and Thomson Reuters. He writes The Manuals, a newsletter and how-to guide for ecological design. In 2021, he was the winner of an AHCJ Award for Excellence in Health Care Journalism for an investigation into the sale of human DNA data to Wall Street firms.
