Nacho Calle is a Spanish data and investigative journalist based in Madrid.
Nacho Calle is the deputy director of Infolibre and president and founding member of the Association of Investigative Journalists (API).
His previous roles include the Deputy Director and Chief of Investigation at Público and the Deputy Director of Maldita.es, a fact-checking media outlet that won the European Press Prize in 2021. Before that, as an investigative journalist and data coordinator at laSexta, he contributed to major international investigations, including the publication of the Falciani List in Spain and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Panama Papers, as well as the Bahamas Leaks and Paradise Papers. For his work on the Panama Papers, he was named Best Journalist of the Year by the Madrid Press Association in 2017.
