
Nina Landau is a Belgian documentary filmmaker and freelance journalist.
After studying Criminology and International Politics, Nina Landau took her first steps in the media in 2012 as a journalist at VRT. In the years that followed, she directed and produced (news) reports for television, NGOs, companies and governments.
Between 2017 and 2022, she worked as a creative producer at Associate Directors, where she co-directed numerous domestic and foreign documentary (co-)productions.Associate Directors is known, among others, for the documentaries 9999 (about internment), Cold Case Hammerskjöld (about the death of UN Secretary Dag Hammerskjöld) and Addicted to Life (about the last years of Marieke Vervoort's life).
Nina also has three short docufilms to her credit: Lon (2017) and Circus Without a Tent (2020). Both were broadcast on VRT and enjoyed a nice national and international film festival trail (IDFA, DOKLeipzig, DOCNYC, Cinekid, Docville, ...). The Miracle Underneath (2025) will premiere at Docville in March 2025.
Nina is currently doing development work for The Floor is Yours, a hybrid documentary film about the female anatomy and The Fragile Cloud, a documentary series about postpartum depression.
