Olivia Acland is a multimedia journalist who is based in Greece. 

She reports on politics, conflict and environmental issues, often from Africa a continent on which she has spent much of her career. She previously worked as a correspondent for The Economist in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Her work has also appeared on the BBC, in The Guardian, The Economist’s 1843, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph Magazine, The New York Times, Reuters and beyond. In 2024, she was a finalist in The Amnesty Awards for her longform reporting.
