Ryan Murdock is a freelance writer regularly contributing pieces to The Shift and a number of other international publications.

He is also known for his travel writing and is the author of Adrift on the Continent and Vagabond Dreams which received a starred review in Publisher Weekly. He is the Editor at Large (Europe) for Outpost Magazine.

His work has been showcased extensively in print and visual media, including Toronto’s Eye WeeklyCBC Radio and on the primetime CTV television show ETalk. His Outpost feature “Taklamakan: The Worst Desert in the World” was nominated for a National Magazine Award.
