Saad Hattar is a media expert and trainer at Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ). He is a seasoned journalist with extensive field experience in radio and print media.

Hattar has covered wars, conflicts and elections in Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, and Israel.

For twelve years (1987-1999), he worked for Agence France Presse as an English and Arabic correspondent in Amman. Subsequently, he joined the BBC as Arabic service correspondent between 1999 and 2009. He also worked as stringer for several media outlets in the 90's, inluding ARD (German broadcaster), Radio Orient (Paris), Radio Netherlands, and MBC FM. Saad co-founded the editorial room of Al-Ghad daily, and from 2004 to 2006 was a senior reporter on the paper.
