Samuel Ajala is a Nigerian journalist and science communication researcher focusing on climate, energy and sustainability issues in Africa.

He is a freelance analyst and contributor to different local and international media outlets. In 2022, he was  selected as a media fellow for Future News Worldwide (FNW) 2022 Digital Conference, organised by British Council to bring together the best 100 young journalists worldwide.  

Samuel is a member of YOUNGO United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Covering Climate Now (USA), Uproot Project (USA), Environmental Reporting Project, and CLEW Journalism Network.
