Serdar Vardar is an award-winning investigative journalist at the Environment Desk of Deutsche Welle.

He specialises in cross-border projects related to environmental crimes, the climate crisis, corruption, and tax evasion. Vardar brings a global perspective to his work, having grown up in Turkey before studying political philosophy in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After spending 15 years working across Brazil, Argentina, and Chile, he relocated to Germany in 2019 and started to work with DW.
