Slavica Gostić is a grassroots community leader and co-founder of Zeleno mače (Green Kitten), an association for sustainable rural development.
Since the late 1990s she has been actively involved in grassroots efforts to rebuild trust in her multiethnic community.
Long before founding an official NGO, Gostić organized local events, supported youth initiatives, and worked to preserve cultural memory. In 2020, she co-founded Zeleno mače to channel that engagement into a sustainable platform for cultural heritage, environmental action, and community empowerment.
Under her leadership, Zeleno mače has become a vibrant local hub for cultural heritage, youth engagement and environmental action.
