Journalist, editor and writer, based in Sofia.

Svetoslav began his writing professionally in 2010 and as of now he’s writing for Balkan Insight and Romanian fact-checking outlet on Bulgarian, having covered the 2021-2023 election cycle. In Bulgaria he is a cultural editor at Capital Weekly and a contributor to independent monthly mag VIJ. 

His work is connected mainly to the arts, but extends to education, human rights and social issues. Svetoslav also has substantial experience in arts and event management, radio presenting, photography, art direction, criticism, publishing, translating and consulting. Author of three short story books: The People Who Slept Alone (2014), Ten Conversations (2017), Nothing Will Happen To You (2020). His prose work has been published in Granta and Esquire, and also translated into English, Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian.
