Wim Swinnen (°1959) is an independent Belgian science and culinary journalist.

He began his career in 1983 as a film critic and TV columnist for the magazine Film & Televisie.

He then focused on rock journalism for Het Nieuwsblad, among others. He wrote about beer and gastronomy for the magazine Culinaire Ambiance. In 2015, he was awarded the Jan Van Hemeledonck Trophy for the best culinary review of the year.

Since 2017, Swinnen has been a contributor to Eos Wetenschap and Psyche&Brein. He is co-author of the books Belgische Klassiekers (2018) and Nooit Meer Snurken (2022).
