Centro di Giornalismo permanente is a Rome-based collective of journalists working on investigative projects and reportages since 2018.
Established in 2018 by a group of former students from the Lelio and Lisli Basso Foundation School of Journalism in Rome, the organisation unites media professionals who are committed to combatting precarious working conditions in journalism.
It organises informative events on journalism, as well as affordable workshops. The proceeds fund reports, investigations and journalistic work in the field by members of the collective.
The projects are characterised by two key elements: field research and fact-checking. The organisation collaborates with national and international newspapers and works on projects in various formats, such as podcasts, long-form journalism and social media, in different geographical areas, including Italy, Eastern Europe, Tunisia and Latin America.
