Deník N, the first Czech digital daily built on a subscription-based model, was founded in autumn 2018.
It draws on the experience of its Slovak counterpart, Denník N. It currently has more than 33,000 subscribers. The paper offers analytical reporting on developments in Czech and international politics, launches investigative projects, and covers social, scientific or cultural issues. It is published digitally at denikn.cz as well as in print five times a week. The digital subscription includes a one-year subscription to The New York Times. The newsroom currently consists of around 50 journalists.
