MAREA MEDIA is an independent organisation working in journalism, media education and community storytelling.
A collective born from gathering a group of young professionals in Naples during The Circle’s Media Design Sprint. At a time when narratives about Southern Italy and the Mediterranean fail to capture the complexity and richness of these regions, Marea Media aims to create a network that offers opportunities and support to those who wish to tell the stories of these territories through words, arts and media. Our goal is to change perspectives and overcome distorted representations of the Mediterranean area.
