Seek Initiative (Berlin) supports and trains community leaders, journalists, and civil society organisations to drive change in their communities through grassroots investigations in the public interest.

Seek was founded in 2022 in Essen, and it is currently based at Publix in Berlin.

The belief behind its existence is that providing citizens and communities with opportunities to safely seek, gather, verify and share accurate information and their own evidence-based stories on public matters is critical to defending fundamental rights, ensuring democratic processes, and holding the powerful to account.

Seek Initiative envisions a society where curious and committed people, no matter their background, collaborate to safely investigate and share stories.

The organisation has collaborated with several partners, including Transparency International, United World Colleges and Correctiv to train citizens around the world to become investigators and it has worked in several countries such as Guatemala, Senegal or Germany.
