Solomon is an award-winning investigative media organisation based in Athens. It is dedicated to producing journalism in the public interest and holding those in power to account.
Its objective is to hold power to account, support domestic investigative journalism, as well as facilitate collaboration amongst journalists at a cross-border level.
In recent years, Solomon has become an influential outlet, publishing investigations in Greek and English that are often discussion starters.
It teams up with experts from various fields – journalists, photo-journalists, developers, designers, OSINT and data experts – and devotes its time and resources to delving into underreported issues. Its reporting is structured around four main areas: accountability of those in power, refugees and migration, environment, and food systems.
To support the journalistic community in a practical way, it has created the Solomon media lab, an innovative educational hub that provides training, tool-kits and good practice guides for journalists.
It is accountable to its community and believes that full transparency is the way to regain the public's lost trust in journalism.
