The Tris Association is a non-profit citizens' association founded in May 2013 with the aim of promoting the values of civil society and media culture, human rights and freedoms, tolerance and respect for members of minority and marginal socio-cultural communities, media culture, raising environmental awareness, without the intention of gaining profit.
It was founded by professional journalists with a significant reputation and decades of experience in leading Croatian print and electronic media, in order to launch independent media for the purpose of objectively informing the public and affirming quality journalism devoid of triviality and sensationalism. The Tris portal has become a reputable media, and we are often an incentive and a guide for other media to open up topics of great social importance. Our mission is to strengthen media pluralism in Croatia, where independent media are rare because they foster quality journalism, publish topics that rarely appear in mainstream media, such as issues of national and other minorities, marginalized social groups, people with disabilities, corruption and crime. . in government structures, the judiciary and elsewhere.
