Following their successful collaboration in 2024, the Global Investigative Journalism Network and Ideas Zone, the educational arm of iMEdD, are joining forces once again to offer a unique programme designed specifically for journalists and reporters with little or no experience in investigative journalism.
This training programme aims to provide reporters around the world with the skills needed to navigate the complexities of investigative journalism. It will enable them to uncover hidden truths and shed light on issues that resonate across a variety of topics and areas of reporting. The programme aspires to provide reporters with the skills to navigate the complexities of investigative journalism, equipping them to unravel hidden truths and shed light on issues that resonate across various fields in the future.
The objective is to empower journalists to conduct thorough investigations, thereby fostering a media environment in which truth prevails and the public is kept informed and engaged. By the end of the programme, participants will have the necessary tools and knowledge to conduct their own investigations.
The course curriculum will be delivered online through ten hands-on practical sessions, with two cohorts starting in May and October.
