In their investigation part of Divergente's collaboration with El Confidencial supported by Journalismfund’s Environmental Investigative Journalism grant programme, Sofia da Palma Rodrigues and Manuel Bívar collected accounts from people who deliberately started fires for no apparent reason across Portugal, turning their testimonies into a compelling audio narrative.
Organised by Portugal’s Journalists’ Club, the Prémio Gazeta is one of the country’s leading journalism awards and has been presented since 1984.
