The organisers of the “Drops for our Future” invited Journalismfund grantee to speak about this cross-border environmental investigation at a final conference as an example of the interaction between scientific research and environmental protection and a necessary look across borders.
The panel included journalist Tobias Asmuth who represented the journalists' team, as well as scientist Georg Niedrist from Bolzano and environmental activist Azhar Jandossova from Kazakhstan, whom he got in touch with as he was working on this topic.
The “Drops of the Future” Youth Workshop Series focuses on water-food-energy nexus. The workshops aimed to equip young professionals, especially women, with the skills to understand and address the challenges around sustainable approaches to these important issues.
