We are pleased to announce that journalismfund.eu received applications from 65 individuals who applied for the regular cross-border grant that was due on 1st February. Forty-two applicants were freelance journalists.

Twenty-five women and fourty men from twenty-three different countries (some of them working as a team) submitted a total of eighteen regular cross-border applications.

The total amount requested was €302.743, average per project €17.000. The total amount that will be divided for this period is €25.000. The decision will be announced in early March.

Next call
The next call for the regular cross-border grant applications will be on Wednesday 1st May 2017. The two other deadlines for 2017 will be on:

  • Friday 1st September 2017
  • Wednesday 15th November 2017

All deadlines will be closed at 11.59 pm Brussels time.

Special call to journalists: follow the EU money and get a special JF working grant

BRUSSELS – Journalismfund.eu has obtained funding to give special support by theme. For the call on September 15th we are thus able to allocate an additional €20,000 to carry out cross-border journalism about EU spending.
