Transtelex.ro, a Hungarian-language Romanian news portal.

Transtelex is an independent, community-funded Hungarian-language minority media outlet based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The online media outlet was established in March 2022 in close cooperation with the Budapest-based Telex.hu, who are also our partners in this investigative project. Transtelex has an editorial staff of 7 team members, primarily serving the ethnic-Hungarian public of Transylvania (Romania) but also targeting a larger-scale audience in Hungary and the diaspora. We operate respecting the core values of journalism, with impartiality, objectivity and professionalism, and with a critical attitude. Our mission is to provide our audience with relevant, important and fact-checked stories about politics, society, environmental issues and other aspects of public life. Besides the funds received from our audience, we also complete our operational budget from advertisement and grants.
Based on our measurements, in recent months we have managed to stabilize the number of 40,000 daily page views, and we are close to reach 14,000 Facebook followers.
