DORTMUND- The tenth edition of the SciCAR conference will take place on Thursday, 17 and Friday, 18. September 2026 – again at the Erich Brost Institute for International Journalism in Dortmund.
How do you research with AI agents without blindly trusting them? How do stories come from satellite data, open sources or research data? And which tools really help in everyday editorial work?
At SciCAR 2026, journalists, developers and researchers meet to talk about it in detail - in a practical, critical way and with many hands-on sessions.
Whether local editorial staff, investigative team, science or political department, volunteer or freelance journalist. If you want to know how journalism works tomorrow, you've come to the right place.
The SciCAR is organized by Netzwerk Recherche, TU Dortmund, WPK and Science Media Center Germany.
