DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
"Fact Check Zaporizhzhia" is a two-month editorial project by Inform.zp.ua in response to the urgent need for accurate, verified information in a region heavily impacted by Russian propaganda. The project involves creating over eight fact-checking articles, over ten social media visuals, and short videos to debunk false narratives prevalent in frontline and occupied areas. The project also pilots a branded format and a methodology driven by feedback, which we intend to sustain and expand in order to strengthen local information resilience in a high-risk media environment.
GOALS
- Publish at least eight fact-checking articles that address disinformation trends.
- Produce at least 10 visuals and short videos for sharing online.
- Create a prototype format with tools that measure audience engagement.
- Reach at least 50,000 people in frontline communities across social platforms.
- Create a long-term content framework and editorial roadmap for continued use after the grant ends.
