FLORENCE - Voices is a festival that drives conversations which matter in a well-informed society. For its third edition, it will return to Florence in April 2026.
As a traveling festival, Voices engages diverse communities while keeping media freedom and literacy at its core, essential pillars for a functioning democracy. It is more than an event: it’s a movement that aims to redefine how we engage with information.
Over three days, the festival brings together hundreds of participants, 70+ speakers, interactive workshops, exhibitions, and networking opportunities. It’s a hub for ideas, innovation, and collaboration. The third edition returns to Florence, at Teatro del Maggio Musicale, 10–12 March 2026.
A highlight of Voices is the Voices Awards, celebrating the next generation of journalistic talent. Each edition honors 25 rising journalists from across Europe and beyond. Winners receive €1,200 and are invited to Florence, where they will present their work as part of the festival program, participating in debates, workshops, and networking events.
The awards cover seven categories, from print, audio, and video to digital media, photojournalism, cartoons, and media literacy, highlighting impactful work that strengthens informed societies and defends press freedom.
Applications are open until 12 January 2026 to candidates from the EU, candidate countries, and beyond, with a deadline of 12 January 2026.
