Adrian Mogoș is a freelance journalist from Romania and the founder of NewsRomania.net, which he launched in 2017.

Since 2019, he has been an accredited researcher at the National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives (CNSAS), investigating corruption within the communist judicial system, as well as terrorist attacks and organisations operating on Romanian soil during the communist era.

Mogoș has twice been awarded the Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence, and in 2016 he was a Milena Jesenská Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna. He has received multiple accolades for his journalistic work, including two CEI-SEEMO Awards, the Kurt Schork Award and the Special Global Shining Light Award.

He coordinated one of the investigations featured in UNESCO’s Global Casebook for Investigative Journalism, and another received a special commendation from the European Press Prize jury. In 2022, he received a grant from the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network's Digital Rights Programme for Journalists.
