Ali Al Ibrahim is an investigative journalist, researcher, and founder of SIRAJ, a dedicated unit for investigative journalism.

With over a decade of experience, he has earned recognition for his impactful investigations on topics like abuse of power, human rights violations, corruption, and financial tracking. Al Ibrahim has collaborated with major international media outlets including OCCRP, The Guardian, Lighthouse Reports, BBC, and more.

His work has garnered numerous accolades, including the coveted BBC's Best Young Journalist Award in 2018, the prestigious Samir Kassir Award for Freedom of the Press in 2019, and recognition by the Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) for one of the finest investigative pieces in Arabic in 2020, received also FJA for Journalism's Investigative Journalism Award in 2022 and the AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Journalism in the United States in 2023.

Beyond his investigative journalism pursuits, Ali Al Ibrahim is a TED Fellow and a fellow at the Oxford Centre for Journalism Studies and he studies the Entrepreneurial Journalism Creators cohort Program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, City University of New York. He is also known for his role as a consultant and trainer at the International Journalists' Network, providing expertise in investigative journalism and the use of artificial intelligence in investigations.
