Borbala is a journalist and editor with 25 years of professional experience, specialising in environmental protection, sustainability and green journalism. Her goal is to make complex environmental issues understandable, engaging and accessible to a wider audience, while maintaining the accuracy, independence and depth that responsible journalism requires.

Throughout her career, she has combined environmental reporting with a strong background in international affairs, science, agriculture and European Union policies. At Hungarian Television, she worked simultaneously as a foreign news editor for Híradó, the national television news programme, and as a journalist for the renowned Natura editorial team, which produced science and environmental programmes. She also regularly contributed articles on environmental issues to two major Hungarian newspapers, Magyar Hírlap and Népszabadság, including the latter’s Science and Environment supplement.

Her work at Greenfo.hu has included environmental journalism, while at Zöld Hang, where she currently works, she produces comprehensive, in-depth articles exploring environmental challenges and sustainability issues.

Extensive international travel has given her valuable first-hand experience and reinforced her belief in the importance of understanding the places, people and issues she reports on. Over the years, she has also collaborated with independent media outlets and civil society organisations, including participating in a project supported by Norwegian funding.

Working across print, television and digital media has helped her adapt complex stories for different audiences. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to independent journalism and to highlighting the environmental challenges that shape our world.
