Daniel Kotecký is an investigative reporter and data analyst for the independent Czech daily Deník Referendum.
His work focuses on climate-related topics, such as the fossil fuel industry and green subsidies. In November 2025, he received the CEI SEEMO Award for Outstanding Merit in Investigative Journalism in the Young Professional Journalists category.
