Eliezer Budasoff is an award-winning Argentine-born journalist and editor specializing in in-depth journalism projects with transnational focus.

He was editorial director of The New York Times en Español and special projects editor of the newspaper EL PAÍS in its Americas’ bureau. He was also editor of the narrative journalism magazine Etiqueta Negra and its environmental version, Etiqueta Verde. He won the Las Nuevas Plumas international award in 2011 and the Gabriel García Márquez award in 2021.

His articles have been published in American and European media and have been translated into English, Italian, French, German and Portuguese. He is currently host and editor at El Hilo, the main news podcast in Latin America, produced by Radio Ambulante Estudios.
