Eliezer Budasoff is an award-winning journalist and editor, born in Argentina, who specialises in in-depth projects with a transnational focus.
He was the editorial director of The New York Times en Español and a special projects editor at the EL PAÍS newspaper in its Americas bureau. He was also the editor of the narrative journalism magazine Etiqueta Negra and its environmental counterpart, Etiqueta Verde. In 2011, he won the Las Nuevas Plumas international award, and in 2021, he won the Gabriel García Márquez award.
His articles have been published in American and European media outlets and translated into English, Italian, French, German and Portuguese. He is currently the host and editor of El Hilo, Latin America's leading news podcast, produced by Radio Ambulante Estudios.
