Esther Rasenberg is a Dutch freelance journalist and communications advisor who has been working in the water sector for fifteen years.
For many years, she has contributed to Waterforum, a Dutch platform for water professionals. In 2014, together with several colleagues, she launched Water News Europe, an independent news platform for water professionals across Europe.
Since then, Water News Europe has grown steadily. Much of Esther’s work focuses on water policy and, in particular, on how European water policies are implemented in different Member States. She greatly values collaborating with journalists and freelance colleagues from across Europe, bringing together different national perspectives on shared water challenges.
Esther also has a second home in Spain, where she enjoys spending part of her time. Living and working regularly in Spain has helped her broaden her European perspective and build a strong international network.
