Giovanni Culmone is a photographer and filmmaker based in Rome.

His work spans to image-making, visual journalism, documentaries, and other disciplines. Reoccurring themes include social issues, identity, migration, and environment.

Giovanni Culmone is specialising in political and social issues. His works were published for Internazionale, RSI, Rai News 24 and FQ Premium. In 2019 he won the investigative journalism award Premio Roberto Morrione for the work “The Natural Order of Things”. In 2021 was finalist for “The Way Back”.
