Hans Gerard Moleman worked as a foreign correspondent for Dutch and Belgian media in Africa and Asia from 1997 till 2012.

Before moving to Africa and Asia, he worked at the socio-economic desk and as reporter at large for Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant and national news agency ANP.

Moleman is the author of two books: 'De Rode Miljardair', about the rise of Jack Ma and his internet company Alibaba (Lias, 2015), and 'Avonturen in modern China', a collection of stories published by De Volkskrant in 2005.
