Helena Rodríguez Gómez is an independent Spanish journalist who focuses on collaborative cross-border investigations, mostly related to environmental issues and human rights violations.

She covers a wide range of topics – from industrial and military pollution and carbon emissions, to the degradation and restoration of ecosystems such as peatlands and wetlands, to local renewable energy and water reuse and supply policies, to sexualised forms of violence against asylum seekers and the role of rural women leaders in Colombian peace-building efforts. Helena's work has been published in publications such as Climática, Diari Ara, Al Jazeera, El Salto and Mediapart.

A graduate of the Erasmus Mundus Masters in Journalism, she is connected to several European collaborative journalism spaces such as Correctiv Europa and the Climate Arena for Journalism. She speaks Catalan, Spanish, English, French and is currently working on her German.
