Ioana Pelehatăi acts as editor for the Romanian cultural publication Scena9, which you can find online daily and on paper on a yearly issue.

She has covered a broad range of topics, including LGBTQ+ rights, online culture, and Eastern European current affairs. Most of her recent work has focused on Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine.

She started out with translations and TV scriptwriting, forged ahead with real estate ads and content marketing (financial crisis beggars aren't choosers), kept the translations (mainly of film scripts, but also theater plays and books), then discovered cultural journalism, and at one point even wrote a football podcast.

She survives on poetry, podcasts, caffeine and nicotine; in 2022, she adopted a cat from Ukraine, whom she loves immensely.
