Jiska Gysels is a Belgian engineer and architect.

She works as a socio-spatial researcher at the Endeavour workers’ co-operative. She also works as a freelance investigative journalist. She enjoys delving into complex topics and translating them into clear narratives, tailored to different audiences.

Her interests lie in economics, spatial planning and the way in which functions and communities are – or are not – accommodated within the built and lived environment. A sustainable and inclusive transition of our living environment is her primary focus.

Jiska was co-editor-in-chief of the publication ‘Samen Ruimte Maken’ (2025, VAi). In it, Endeavour, together with designers, architects, public authorities and citizens, looks back and ahead at ten years of socio-spatial research.
