Marta Montojo has worked as a reporter for the past 8 years, mostly focusing on climate and environmental issues.

She has covered climate diplomacy at UN summits (COPs), as well as Spanish and European green politics for Agencia EFE. She has also reported on human-focused stories related to the ecological crisis (e.g. climate migration) for a variety of venues in Spain and elsewhere. Her work has been published in Spanish media outlets such as La Vanguardia, eldiario.es, El Confidencial, Ballena Blanca magazine and Climática, among others; as well as in international publications including the Green European Journal, China Dialogue and Climate Tracker.

Marta previously also worked as the Foreign Editor for The Outlaw Ocean Project, a DC-based journalism nonprofit which investigates environmental and human rights violations at sea. Marta is also a cofounder of Espacio Late, a non-fiction bookstore, cafe and journalism lab run by a group of reporters from Latin America and Spain based in Madrid.
