Mehmet Koksal is a Belgian-Turkish freelance journalist based in Brussels.

He has been working as a fixer for international press correspondents for many years and is now mainly employed by the European Federation of Journalists on press freedom and labour rights developments.

ANKARA - DITIB is a cultural and religious organisation for Turkish people living in Europe. Or so it claims. In reality, however, it is a political body whose strings are pulled directly by Ankara. DITIB promotes the Turkish ruling party, the AKP, in Europe and pushes Turk-Europeans to toe the line dictated by Erdogan.
