Oleg Khomenok is an experienced Ukrainian investigative journalist, trainer and media development specialist who has worked across Eastern Europe and Eurasia for more than three decades.
Oleg Khomenok is member of the GIJN Board of Directors, and a chairs the board of the Regional Press Development Institute. He is also an expert at the International Fact-Checking Network and a member of the Commission on Journalistic Ethics of Ukraine. He has over 30 years' experience in investigative journalism, training, and managing investigative reporting projects across Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
At GIJN, he collaborates closely with journalists, editors, and media organisations to develop practical resources, curate expert analysis, and amplify high-impact investigations across borders. He focuses on making investigative tools and knowledge accessible to reporters operating in challenging political, legal, and security environments.
